Another day of preliminary inquiry into the chopping death of Wayne Fitzgerald Gregory Morris ended at the Kingstown Serious Offenses Court on Monday 20th January. The Court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne, recorded several depositions regarding the fatal incident which occurred at Byera on Friday 26th October 2018. An unidentified male was found dead in the public bath and toilet facilities situated on Lingley Street Kingstown, in the area of the Public Health department and Randy’s Wholesale at Bottom Town. “The body was discovered in a pool of blood ” a well placed source told ANN. The death is suspected to have occurred sometime between 12 and 1PM . The source also said “it’s too early to speculate whether or not there was foul play.” The medical examiner is still on the scene and investigations are ongoing.Major Crime Unit’s Sgt Timm is said to be leading this investigation.

Chief of Staff in the prime minister’s officer, Lionel Max Hurst, has confirmed with OBSERVER media that Minister Dean Jonas has been relieved of his responsibility as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Barbuda Affairs.. Jonas, Hurst confirmed, has also been released as a member of the Cabinet with immediate effect. The government is expected to issue a press release on the matter. The news comes moments after prime minister Gaston Browne met with about 40 workers under Jonas’ ministry this morning at the Agriculture headquarters on independence Avenue this morning.
