LONDON (Reuters) – Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday she would step down on June 7, succumbing to calls in her governing Conservative Party to make way for a new leader to try to break an impasse over Britain’s departure from the European Union. “It is now clear to me that it is in the best interests of the country for a new prime minister to lead that effort. A number of parents of children attending the Thomas Saunders Secondary School (TSSS) have expressed outrage following an incident that occurred at the school recently. ANN received reports from parents and teachers that cavity searches were allegedly conducted on a number of students by members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVPF) without any parental consent. CHARLOTTE AMALIE, United States Virgin Islands (CMC) — A judge of the Superior Court of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI) has dismissed an appeal by the cash-strapped regional airline, LIAT, against a US$1.55 million in damages awarded to a former employee.
