    Issued: 6:00pm Wednesday, 14th October, 2020

A strong tropical wave with a low chance (10%) of tropical cyclone formation will continue to

affect the region within the next 24 hours. This, coupled with a favourable upper level
environment increases the chance of additional pockets of moderate to heavy showers and
thunderstorm activity across St Vincent and the Grenadines. Rainfall accumulations of
approximately 50mm (2 inches) with isolated higher amounts in mountainous areas are possible
within the next 24 hour period.
Thus, the flash- flood watch remains in effect until further notice. A Flood-Watch is issued
when conditions are favourable and there exists the possibility of flooding during the watch
    period.
Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and
streams should continue to exercise caution.

This flash-flood watch may be upgraded to a warning if conditions warrant.
