The Windsor Primary School topped the 2023 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA).
Jadon Hamilton took the top spot with an average of 97.2% while also receiving the highest mark for English Language with 97.3%.
The top 10 results were male dominated and saw the Windsor Primary School, St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kingstown Preparatory School and the Fair Hall Primary School copping the top five spots.
Kole Innis of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School placed second, Kajj Murray of the Windsor Primary School placed third, Orion John of the Fair Hall Government School placed fourth and Drez Compton of the Kingstown Preparatory School placed fifth.
Kole Innis and Orion John got the highest mark for mathematics with 97.3%, Mya Samuel of the Lowmans Leeward Anglican School got the highest mark for Science with 98.7% and Kajj Murray copped the highest mark for Social Studies with 97.3%.
According to a release from the Ministry of Education 85.17% of students met the prescribed standard which is a slight increase over last year’s 83.87%.
Six hundred and sixty-six males or 79.19% passed while 776 or 91.08% of females passed this year’s exam.
Forty-seven out of 66 schools recorded a pass rate in excess of 80%.
