KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent — Residents of St. Vincent and the Grenadines can expect a pleasant Thursday morning with fair to partly cloudy skies and occasional breezy conditions, according to the 6:00 a.m. weather bulletin issued by the Government’s Meteorological Office at the Argyle International Airport.
At the time of the report, temperatures stood at 26.0°C under partly cloudy and slightly hazy skies, with northeast winds blowing at 19 km/h (11 mph). Relative humidity was recorded at 84 per cent, and the barometric pressure held steady at 1,015.1 millibars. No rainfall was recorded in the preceding 24-hour period. Yesterday’s daytime high reached 30.1°C, while overnight temperatures dipped to a comfortable 24.0°C.
Forecast Through Midday
The morning forecast, covering the period from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, calls for fair to partly cloudy conditions with breezy spells, a few passing showers, and slight haze. Winds are expected to shift between the northeast and east, picking up to between 20 and 30 km/h (12 to 19 mph) as the morning progresses.
The dominant weather system shaping conditions across the Eastern Caribbean is the Atlantic High Pressure ridge, which continues to steer warm, moist tropical air across the island chain. No weather or marine advisories are currently in effect.
Sea and Tide Conditions
Sea conditions in open waters are expected to be slight to moderate, with swells ranging from 1.0 to 1.8 metres. Mariners and fisherfolk are advised that no marine advisory is in effect at this time.
