Good morning, St. Vincent and the Grenadines! Here’s your weather check for today, Friday 10th April, courtesy of the Met Office at Argyle International Airport.

    How Things Looking This Morning

We’re waking up to partly cloudy and hazy skies across the mainland. The temperature at 6:00 AM is sitting at a comfortable 26 °C with humidity at 84%, so it’s feeling a bit sticky out there already. Winds are light from the northeast at about 13 km/h. Just a trace of rain overnight — only 1.0 mm recorded in the last 24 hours. Yesterday topped out at 30 °C, and last night cooled down to 23.1 °C.

    What to Expect Through Midday

The Atlantic High Pressure system is running things today, which means mostly fair skies with some clouds and haze drifting through. You might catch a brief isolated shower here and there, but nothing to cancel your plans over. Winds will pick up slightly from the ENE to ESE, ranging between 15 and 30 km/h. No weather advisories or warnings to worry about.

For the Fishermen and Sea Bathers

Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells between 1.0m and 1.8m. No marine warnings in effect, so conditions are looking reasonable out there.

    Tides for Today

High tide comes in around 1:05 PM and again at 11:43 PM. Low tide hits at 7:23 AM and 5:08 PM. Sunrise was at 5:55 AM and sunset is at 6:17 PM — enjoy every bit of that daylight.

    Around the Region

The Caribbean is looking warm as usual. Barbados is matching us at 26 °C with partly cloudy and breezy conditions, Trinidad is fair at 24 °C, and San Juan is sitting at 25 °C. Meanwhile, our friends up north aren’t so lucky — New York and Toronto are both shivering at just 4 °C. London is cool but clear at 9 °C.

Have a safe and productive Friday, SVG!
