Rise and shine, St. Vincent and the Grenadines! Happy Sunday to you and yours!

Mother Nature is keeping things interesting for us this morning. As of 6:00 a.m., the skies over our beautiful islands are cloudy and hazy with some light showers making their way through — so if you heard that gentle patter on your galvanize roof this morning, you weren’t dreaming!

The temperature is sitting at a comfortable 26.2°C with humidity at 83%, so yes, it’s going to feel a little sticky out there. Yesterday brought us a toasty high of 32.5°C, while last night cooled down to a pleasant 23.7°C — perfect sleeping weather if you ask us.

Now, what’s ahead for the rest of the morning? The Met Office at Argyle tells us that weak unstable conditions are hanging around the islands, which means we can expect it to stay occasionally cloudy, hazy, and breezy at times with scattered showers through to midday. Winds will be coming from the east-southeast at 20 to 30 km/h, so you’ll get a nice breeze to keep things moving.

The good news? No weather advisories or warnings are in effect — so breathe easy on that front!

For our fisherfolk and sea lovers, conditions are slight to moderate in open water with swells between 1.2 and 2.0 metres. The Met Office is advising small craft operators and sea bathers to exercise caution with those above-normal swells. So enjoy the coastline, but respect the water today!

Sunrise greeted us at 5:53 a.m. and sunset will paint the sky at 6:17 p.m. — giving us a glorious day of Caribbean daylight to work with.

A quick look around the region this morning:

Our neighbours in Trinidad and Antigua are enjoying fair skies at 24°C, while Barbados is partly cloudy at 26°C. San Juan is fair at 25°C, and Miami is a cool 22°C. Spare a thought for our friends up north — New York is chilly at 6°C and Toronto even cooler at 4°C. London? Cloudy at 13°C. We’ll take our warm showers over that any day!

So grab your umbrella just in case, enjoy your Sunday, and whether you’re heading to church, the beach, or staying cosy at home — make it a blessed one, SVG!
