Fair Skies and a Gentle Start to Friday in SVG
Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Friday, May 1, 2026: Good morning, SVG! We are stepping into the first day of May with fair conditions, comfortable temperatures, and a gentle breeze moving across the islands.
At 6:00 a.m., conditions were fair, with the temperature sitting at 26°C. Winds were coming from the northeast at around 9 km/h, while humidity stood at 71 percent. No rainfall was recorded over the past 24 hours, so it has been a dry and pleasant start to the day.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature climbed to 31.3°C, while last night’s minimum dipped to a comfortable 23.5°C.
Looking ahead to midday, the forecast calls for fair to partly cloudy skies with brief isolated showers. So, while most of the morning should be pleasant, keep a small umbrella nearby just in case one of those quick passing showers decides to pay a visit.
The dominant weather feature is a ridge pattern, helping to keep conditions generally settled across the area. There are currently no weather advisories or warnings in effect.
Winds are expected to shift east-southeast at 15 to 25 km/h, or about 9 to 16 mph. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging from 1.0 to 1.5 metres. There are also no marine advisories or warnings at this time.
For those keeping an eye on the tides, the next high tide is expected at 5:39 p.m.. Sunrise was at 5:43 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:20 p.m..
Around the region, Trinidad, Barbados and Antigua are also reporting fair conditions, while San Juan is partly cloudy. Further afield, Miami is cloudy, New York is partly cloudy, Toronto is cloudy, and London is enjoying clear skies.
So, SVG, it is shaping up to be a mostly fair and easy-going Friday morning. Enjoy the sunshine, watch out for a brief passing shower, and have yourself a bright and beautiful start to May.
