Good morning St. Vincent and the Grenadines! It’s shaping up to be another warm and breezy day across the islands, with partly cloudy skies and just a slight chance of a few passing showers as the morning progresses.

The latest report from the Meteorological Office at Argyle International Airport indicates that conditions are currently partly cloudy and slightly hazy, with temperatures sitting at a comfortable 27°C. Northeasterly winds are blowing at around 19 km/h, helping to keep things cool despite the warm tropical conditions.

Forecasters say the Atlantic High Pressure System continues to dominate weather conditions across the region, bringing generally stable weather. However, residents should still expect occasional cloudy spells and a few isolated showers during the day.

Marine conditions remain slight to moderate in open waters, with swells ranging from 1.2 metres to 2.0 metres. Small craft operators and sea bathers are being advised to exercise caution due to above normal swells affecting coastal waters.

Temperature-wise, yesterday’s high reached 30.8°C, while overnight temperatures dipped to a cooler 23.5°C. Relative humidity is currently at 77%, contributing to the slightly humid feel this morning.

Across the region, Barbados is experiencing fair conditions with light showers, Antigua and San Juan are partly cloudy, while Miami is enjoying fair weather. Meanwhile, New York and Toronto are considerably cooler with cloudy and misty conditions.

Sunrise today was at 5:39 am, and sunset is expected at 6:22 pm. High tide is forecast for 2:37 pm, while low tides are expected at 7:29 am and 10:57 pm.

That’s your friendly weather update for today. Keep hydrated, keep an umbrella nearby just in case, and if you’re heading out to sea, take the necessary precautions.
