Good morning St. Vincent and the Grenadines! It’s a hazy but fairly calm start across the islands today, although unsettled conditions nearby could bring scattered showers and breezy periods as the day progresses.

    The latest report from the Meteorological Office at Argyle International Airport shows conditions this morning as fair and hazy, with temperatures around 26.5°C. Northeasterly winds are currently blowing at around 13 km/h, but stronger gusts are expected throughout the day.

    Forecasters say weak unstable conditions are affecting the islands, bringing periods of cloudiness, haze and occasional scattered showers. Saharan dust haze continues to affect visibility across the region, and residents are being advised to take the necessary precautions, especially persons with respiratory conditions.

    Humidity remains high at 83%, while barometric pressure stands at 1015.6 mb. Rainfall over the past 24 hours measured 5.2 mm. Yesterday’s maximum temperature reached 29.9°C, while overnight temperatures dipped to a cooler 22.5°C.

    Marine conditions remain moderate in open waters, with swells ranging between 1.5 metres and 2.5 metres. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution due to above-normal swells and occasional gusty winds.

    Across the region this morning, Barbados is cloudy and breezy, Antigua and San Juan are partly cloudy, while Miami is also experiencing cloudy and breezy conditions. New York remains cloudy, Toronto is cloudy with mist, and London is partly cloudy and breezy.

    Sunrise today was recorded at 5:38 am, while sunset is expected at 6:23 pm. High tide is forecast for 5:56 pm.
