Happy Friday, SVG! The weekend is almost here, and Mother Nature is serving up a fairly pleasant start to the day with partly cloudy skies, a touch of haze, and comfortable breezes across the islands.

    At 6:00 a.m., the Meteorological Office at Argyle International Airport reported conditions as partly cloudy and slightly hazy, with temperatures sitting at a warm 26.8°C. Northeasterly winds are blowing at around 15 km/h, helping to keep conditions comfortable during the early morning hours.

    Forecasters are keeping an eye on a tropical wave approaching the islands. While today is expected to begin fair with moderate haze, skies are likely to become partly cloudy as the day progresses, bringing the possibility of a few scattered showers.

    Humidity is relatively high this morning at 87%, while barometric pressure stands at 1015.5 mb. No measurable rainfall was recorded during the last 24 hours. Yesterday’s maximum temperature reached 30.5°C, while overnight temperatures dipped to a comfortable 24.7°C.

    There are currently no weather advisories or warnings in effect, providing a calm outlook heading into the weekend.

    Marine conditions remain slight to moderate in open waters, with swells ranging between 1.0 metre and 1.8 metres. No marine advisories have been issued, but boaters and sea bathers should continue to exercise normal caution.

    Around the region this morning, Trinidad, Antigua, San Juan, New York and Toronto are all experiencing partly cloudy conditions. Barbados remains breezy under partly cloudy skies, Miami is overcast, while London is fair and breezy.
