Police have arrested and charged Patrick Abrahamson, a 36-year old Chef of Sweden with the offence of Possession of a controlled drug. According to investigations, Abrahamson allegedly had in his possession one (1) rock of cocaine and 7 grams of cannabis at the Grenadines wharf, Kingstown. The incident occurred about 11:40am on 22nd December, 2018.

Police have arrested and charged Kevin Richards, a 25-year old Labourer of Villa with the offence of wounding. According to investigations, the accused allegedly unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 41-year old Labourer of the same address, by stabbing him about his body with a knife. The incident occurred at Villa about 10:15am on 21st December, 2018. Richards appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $2000.00XCD with one surety. He was ordered to reappear before the Calliaqua Magistrate Court on February, 18th 2019 for trial.

JAMAICA GLEANER – KINGSTON, Jamaica — Scene of crime investigators are currently at an address on Portland Road in Rollington Town following an alleged murder/suicide involving a man and a woman this morning According to reports on the ground, the woman, identified as Anika Walker, was stabbed to death by a man identified as Paul Riley. It is believed that after committing the act, Riley then hanged himself inside the dwelling house. Residents are now converged behind yellow tapes as investigators comb the scene. One man is counting his losses after losing his home to a fire in Block 2000, Old Montrose, yesterday on Christmas Eve. Reports indicate that the sole occupant of the house had been involved in an altercation with another villager earlier yesterday afternoon. The villager appeared to be intoxicated. A statistical report from Her Majesty’s Prisons shows that of the 15 electoral constituencies, West Kingstown has the most constituents in prison.
