The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) has conducted soil testing at three schools across the island. The Field Percolation tests were carried out at the Sandy Bay Secondary School, St. Clair Dacon Secondary School and the Kingstown Anglican School. The tests were done to determine the water absorption rate of the soil in preparation for the design of a septic drain field, In addition, soil samples were tested at BRAGSA’s laboratory to determine the type and classification of the soil. The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) has completed Asphalt resurfacing in the community of Fairhall, East St. George. The project saw the repair of 700 feet of roadway from Whim Road to Ribishi Gap, along with the reconstruction of a 155 feet long Cross drain. In addition, a 55 feet long Swale Drain and 170 feet long Box Drain were constructed. BRAGSA also built a 50 feet long retaining wall. The project was carried out a cost of $227,000. It was done over a six weeks period.

Murder-accused prisoners Veron Primus and Ulric Hanson were discovered missing from Her Majesty’s Prison in Kingstown at about 6 a.m last Wednesday, December 9th, but their escape bid began on Sunday 6th December, 2020, according to the police. According to investigations carried out, the Accused man allegedly knowing or believing that two (2) black and brown ewe sheep to be stolen goods dishonestly obtained same for his own benefit. Police have arrested and charged Shirnette Richards, 37 year old Vendor of Largo Height Village with the offence of wounding on 11.12.2020. According to investigations, about 9:30pm on 11.12.2020 the Accused woman allegedly unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 40 year old Labourer of the same address by stabbing him on the left side of his head with a knife. Two-times murder accused Veron Primus was sentenced to 24 months when he appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court yesterday and pleaded guilty escaping lawful custody. Primus, who is awaiting trial for the 2015 murder of 33-year old real estate agent Sharlene Greaves, was charged for escaping the Kingstown jail between December 7th and 10th, 2020. He had escaped with fellow inmate Ulric Hanson who is among others awaiting trial for the 2018 murder of 50-year-old security guard Rodney George.
