Thirty-one-year-old Joel Gary Barker, also known as ‘Bodown’ and ‘Platinum,’ of Penniston was remanded into custody at the prison when he appeared before the Serious Offences Court on Monday charged with the murder of 23-year-old Kareem Bowens of Union Island. Bowens received a gunshot to his chest while near a bar in Clifton, Union Island, on October 3rd, 2018. He died shortly after at the hospital on the Southern Grenadine island.
