On the 3rd of November, 2018, the family of 19 year old Biabou resident Shania Johnson sprung into quick action and reported the young lady missing after she failed to return home. Shania worked with the YES program and was a part time teacher at the New Prospect (Simon) Primary School. The family and friends of a young mother is seeking the public’s assistance in locating her. Shania Johnson, a 19 year old resident of Biabou is currently missing. A relative informed ANN that she works with the YES program and is a part time teacher at the New Prospect (Simon) Primary School. She was last heard from yesterday when she informed relatives that she was going into Kingstown to purchase pampers for her young baby. No contact has been made with Shania since. Persons knowing the whereabouts of Shania are asked to contact the nearest police station.
ANN has received reports that a pick up truck went over an embankment in Orange Grove (located between Queens Drive and Dorsetshire Hill), known as Guinea Hill earlier this afternoon. Insert: Red pickup went over embankment Information reaching ANN suggests that the vehicle crashed into a stationary RAV4 jeep and went over the embankment and was stopped by a tree. The VINVolunteers mentorship programme at the Bishop College Kingstown (BCK) continues to have a positive impact on the academic and personal development of the participants. The programme focuses on mentorship, moral support and it also provides financial assistance to help some students with meals. Fifteen students are benefitting from the nutritional support aspect of the programme where meals are being provided free of cost during the 2018-2019 academic year.
